Canadian regulators approve lung cancer drug Tarceva

Good news for Long Island-based OSI Pharmaceuticals, with Canadian regulators giving their approval for Tarceva, the company’s lung-cancer drug. Tarceva, which OSI developed in partnership with Genentech, was approved in the United States last November, and is expected to be approved in Europe sometime soon.
